7 Reasons Why Exercise is Important if You Have MS
Here are 7 of my top reasons why it is so important to exercise when you have Multiple Sclerosis (or to exercise even if you don't). Exercise has had a profound impact on my health through the years and I pray that even a little of my story can inspire you to take care of your body with exercise. It had an impact on my life prior to my diagnosis and has had a profound impact post diagnosis as well.
I can truthfully say that I do not know if I would still be standing had I not been working on balance exercises prior and I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if I took my diagnosis and decided to say ‘oh well’ and give up on exercise altogether. Being diagnosed with a chronic illness is incredibly difficult. We all go through the ups and downs of the initial shock and we continue going through those ups and downs for years after, but we can take control of the controllable.
